Frequency of use and allocation of spaces                

We offer places on a first come first served basis, if a place is not available the child’s name is placed on a waiting list and the parents/carers are contacted as soon as a place becomes available.  It is expected, however, that many parents will want to use the

facility on part time basis.  Occasional use will be accommodated if spaces are available.  The day care provision will be open to the wider community.

Meals

Breakfasts, snacks, dinner and a light tea will be provided as appropriate and are included in the fees.  Parents/carers of younger children are expected to provide sealed jars or packets of food and all bottles of milk for the children.  Special diets are catered for.

Management

Catchgate Childcare is managed by registered company limited by guarantee.  The management of Catchgate Childcare is directed by a voluntary committee consisting of the head teacher of Catchgate School and representatives of the school.

Representatives of Catchgate Childcare staff and parents/carers will also form part of the management structure.

The committee is responsible for:

•        managing the finances;

•          employing and managing the staff;

•         making sure that the centre has-and works to-policies which help it to provide a high quality service;

•         making sure that the centre works in partnership with the children’s parents.

Ofsted require nurseries to provide policies and procedures to cover Welfare Requirements: safeguarding and promoting children's welfare, suitable people, suitable premises, environment and equipment, organisation and documentation. Copies of which are available on request from the manager.
